AUTHENTIC FLAVORS

The TASTE OF IBIZA

Traditional recipes, local ingredients and generations of island wisdom.

Ibiza’s cuisine is a reflection of its land and sea. Simple, honest and full of character, every dish tells the story of the island through flavour, tradition and shared moments around the table.

SCROLL

ROOTED IN TRADITION

A cuisine with island soul

Ibiza’s gastronomy was born from necessity, shaped by fishermen, farmers and families who made the most of what the island provided.

Fresh fish from surrounding waters, seasonal vegetables, aromatic herbs and recipes passed from generation to generation create a cuisine that remains deeply connected to the island’s identity.

Every meal tells a story of land, sea and community.

OUR AUTHENTIC FLAVORS

BULLIT DE PEIX

The fisherman’s feast

One of Ibiza’s most emblematic dishes.

Fresh local fish is slowly cooked with potatoes, saffron and traditional spices. The broth becomes the base for a second course of arroz a banda, making Bullit de Peix a complete culinary experience.

BORRIDA DE RATJADA

A forgotten island treasure

A traditional recipe made with ray fish, potatoes and a rich almond and saffron sauce.

Less known by visitors but deeply appreciated by locals, it reflects the island’s ability to transform humble ingredients into something extraordinary.

ARROZ DE MATANZAS

A celebration of rural life

Traditionally prepared during the annual pig slaughter, this rich rice dish combines pork, sobrasada, spices and seasonal ingredients.

A hearty meal that represents family gatherings and island traditions.

SOFRIT PAGÈS

The flavour of the countryside

Perhaps the most traditional dish in Ibiza. A generous combination of meat, potatoes, peppers and local spices slowly cooked together to create a comforting and deeply satisfying meal.

For many island families, Sofrit Pagès remains the ultimate taste of home.

SOBRASADA IBICENCA & BUTIFARRA

Island cured traditions

For centuries, preserving meat was essential to island life.

Ibizan sobrasada and butifarra are prepared using traditional methods, local spices and recipes that have survived generations.

Simple, authentic and full of character.

GREIXONERA

Ibiza’s sweetest secret

A unique dessert created from leftover ensaimadas.

Combined with eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon, Greixonera transforms simple ingredients into one of Ibiza’s most beloved sweet traditions.

FLAÓ

The iconic island dessert

A delicate tart made with fresh cheese, mint and a subtle touch of aniseed.

Unlike any dessert found elsewhere in Spain, Flaó perfectly captures the island’s unique blend of Mediterranean and rural influences.
